What did you study? I graduated 2009 with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Åbo Akademi, Finland
When were you a trainee? 2010
What role did you start with and what do you work with today? I started as a Production Engineer at Gruvön. Today I work with process engineering for the new board machine KM7 at Gruvön.
What was the best part of being a trainee? As a trainee you will be introduced to all parts and functions of the company and to the complete production process.
How has the trainee program affected your career? The trainee program was a good start for me and I had the opportunity to get in contact with different professions within BillerudKorsnäs. Since the trainee program year 2010 I have worked as a Production Engineer in 2011. Then I was the project coordinator in the acquisition and take-over of PM1 and PM7 from UPM 2011-2012. After that I worked as a Superintendent for the Chemical Recovery Department at Gruvön 2013-2015. Since 2015 I work with process engineering for KM7 within the Next Generation project at Gruvön.
