BillerudKorsnäs withdraws proposal regarding extra dividend

The Board of Directors of BillerudKorsnäs has decided to withdraw the previously proposed extra dividend. The proposed ordinary dividend remains.

Against the background of the increased uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors prioritizes to maintain BillerudKorsnäs’ strong financial position and maneuverability. The Board has therefore decided to withdraw the previously proposed extra dividend of SEK 4.30 per share.

The Board’s proposal for an ordinary dividend of SEK 4.30 per share remains. The Board also proposes that a mandate is obtained for repurchase of own shares.

Provided that the uncertainty has decreased and the visibility in the market has improved, the Board of Directors has the ambition to summon the shareholders to an extraordinary general meeting later this year to resolve on an extra dividend.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on 5 May 2020 at 15:00 at Norra Latin, Stockholm City Conference Center in Stockholm, and the notice convening the Annual General Meeting, with the Board's complete proposals, is planned to be published on 2 April.
