Region North America

In region North America, Billerud produces graphic paper, specialty paper, and market pulp. These products are made of virgin fiber and are mainly sold in the domestic market.

In North America, Billerud has two operationally integrated paper and pulp mills in Escanaba and Quinnesec, Michigan. We also have a paper converting facility in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Our graphic papers are mainly used in print communication, high-end catalogs, brochures, and books. Our specialty papers are used for pressure-sensitive labels and release liners used for the backing of laminations and hygiene products.

We are both quality and cost leaders in graphic paper on the North American market, and we also hold a leading position in labels.

North America offers

Graphic paper – used for all kinds of print communication, such as commercial printing, advertising and marketing applications, including direct mail, high-end catalogs, corporate collateral, books and magazines.

Specialty paper – used for pressure sensitive labels, and release liners used for the backing of laminations.

Market Pulp – offered from Quinnesec mill. Hardwood pulp made of 100% primary fibers, ensuring first-rate quality in terms of strength and purity.
