Pulp – only the strongest fibres are good enough

Renewable

Wood from Swedish forests is the natural source for the manufacture of pulp and paper – a growing, renewable resource.

Recyclable

It is cost-effective and simple to recycle paper products, provided that fresh fibres are continuously added to maintain the recycling loop.

Biodegradable

Unlike plastic materials, paper products biodegrade if they end up in nature – often they can even be composted.

We offer pulp grades made from 100% primary fibres, ensuring first-rate quality in terms of strength and purity. Our three mills are certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001 and produce three different types of premium pulp.

Strong and pure

BillerudKorsnäs Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft (NBSK) pulp is made of 100% primary fibres from Scandinavian spruce and pine. In the harsh climate, coniferous trees grow slowly and develop long fibres that can be recycled five to seven times. NSBK pulp enables an efficient manufacturing process resulting in strong, pure and first-class products.

Responsible forestry

Keeping the future in mind, our raw materials are taken from forests where replanting is a matter of course. We work with the FSC® and PEFC™ certification systems, which guarantee that our wood raw materials can be traced back to their origins. The parts of the tree not used for pulp are used as biofuel.
